A PILGRIMAGE

 A PILGRIMAGE

Padre Pio
Today is the Feast of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, O.F.M. Cap. Fr. Pio was born May 25, 1887 in Pietrelcina, Italy. He joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. He made his First Profession on January 22, 1904 and was ordained in 1910. In 1918 he received the wounds of Christ, the Stigmata, which would stay with him for his remaining 50 years. It is said that before his death his wounds were healed. There were lots of controversies about this phenomena and his life.

We the seminarians of Chaminade International Seminary had an opportunity last year to make a pilgrimage to St. Giovanni Rotondo, Foggia, Italy. I would like to share with you all some of the visual of that Pilgrimage.

May God bless us!
